 Notepad: 

Notepad is a simple text where we can type the data. The extension of Notepad is ".text" the white screen of notepad is called text window. Notepad is an application software/program. 

There are five bars in notepad 

01) Title Bar                 Caption Buttons                               (Close, Maximize/Restore                                      Down, Minimize)

02) Menu Bar

03) Vertical Scroll Bar

04) Horizontal Scroll Bar.   

05) Status Bar 

  

    File Menu

New: (Ctrl + N)    By this option we can make the new page.

Open: (Ctrl + O)   By this option we can open our saved documents.

Save: (Ctrl + S)     By this option we can save our document.

Save As:   This option is use for save the saved documents with

  Other names.

Page Setup:      By this option we can change the setting of the page.

Print: (Ctrl + P)  By this option we can print the soft copy to hard copy.

Exit: (Alt + F4)      This option is use for close the current document.

    

 Edit Menu

Undo: (Ctrl + Z)    By this option we can restore the recently work.

Cut: (Ctrl + X)        This option is use for move or cut the text.

Copy: (Ctrl + C)    By this option we can make the duplicates of the selected text.

Paste: (Ctrl + V)   This option is use for paste the cut or copied text.

Delete: (Del)        By this option we can remove or delete the selected text.

Find: (Ctrl + F)      This option is use for find or search the letter or word.

Find Next: (F3)     This option is use for find the word or letter that has been

            written in the Find   option.

Replace: (Ctrl + H)   we can change the word or letter to another word or letter by 

                                      this option.

Go to: (Ctrl + G)          By this option we can directly jump to another line.

Select All: (Ctrl + A)   This option is use for Highlight or Select the text.

Time/Date: (F5)         This option is use for insert current the date and time.

          Format Menu  

Word Wrap:      This option is use for wrap the text into one line or in 

       Full page by window text.

Font:        This option is use for change the setting (Font designs,

        Styles, and Size) of the text.

         

         View Menu   

Status Bar:        Status bar shows the no: of Lines and Columns of the page.

       Help Menu

    Help Menu is used to get the help about Notepad and   their Files\Menus.
